Dr. Christopher ‘Kit’ Tainter

Dr. Christopher ‘Kit’ Tainter, MD, RDMS, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego, in both the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Critical Care. His training includes an Emergency Medicine Residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, with specialty training in ultrasound as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, as well as a Fellowship in Anesthesia Critical Care at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also has experience in education as the Assistant Residency Program Director and Medical Student Clerkship Director at the University of Oklahoma and has completed the Harvard Macy Education Program. He currently splits his time between the Emergency Department and various ICUs at the University of California in San Diego, and is the Director for Advanced Resuscitation Training for the Emergency Department.
