Dr. Saju R. Divakar is radiation oncology consultant working in Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar since 2009.
Dr. Saju received all his medical education in India. He received his MBBS undergraduate medicine degree from Kerala University in 1997. After that, he worked as a primary health care practitioner in rural regions of India for a few years. Then he did his postgraduate training in Radiotherapy specialty from 2001 to 2004 and on completion awarded DNB degree in Radiotherapy in 2005 by the national board, New Delhi.
Before joining HMC, Dr. Saju was working as clinical assistant professor in radiation Oncology at AIMS Kochi, from 2005 to 2009.
Dr. Saju has special interest in Thoracic oncology, pediatric oncology, gyne-oncology, colorectal cancers and neuro Oncology. He is core member of multidisciplinary tumor boards of the aforementioned cancer sub sites. In addition, is Dr. Saju is also a member of Qatar National Cancer Guideline Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Public Health and co-author of several national cancer guidelines.
Dr. Saju has several publications in his name and is a reviewer of medical journals. He is also actively involved in research activities at HMC as a principal investigator and as co-investigator.
His skills in addition to routine highly conformal radiotherapy techniques include radiosurgery, brachytherapy, total body irradiation and focused ultrasound treatment.
