Dr. Rajiv Apsani earned his post-graduate degree in Radiation Oncology in 2007. Subsequently, he was involved with a research project evaluating DNA damage by micronuclei assay and its correlation with radiation response.

Furthermore, he completed his 3-year senior residency in Tata Memorial hospital where he was involved in active clinical academic research. He worked as specialist in Radiotherapy and Oncology department in Sarawak General Hospital in Malaysia where he was a co-investigator for phase 3 clinical trials.

He joined Hamad Medical Corporation in August 2020 in the department of Radiation Oncology.

His primary clinical interests include genitourinary cancers (prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular cancer) and gastrointestinal cancers (cancers of the stomach and esophagus).
