Nisreen Rumman, MD

Nisreen Rumman is a Pediatrician and Pediatric Pulmonologist at Makassed Hospital in East Jerusalem, Palestine. Makassed Hospital is one of the biggest tertiary referral hospitals in Palestine, treating patients with a broad spectrum of pediatric diseases. Dr Rumman also runs pediatric pulmonary consultation clinics in Bethlehem and Ramallah.

Dr Rumman received her medical degree from Baghdad University in Iraq. She completed her internship and then pediatric residency at Makassed hospital. She worked as a general pediatrician at Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem, and then completed her pediatric pulmonary fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW), Milwaukee, USA.

Dr Rumman is certified by the Palestinian and Jordanian Boards of Pediatrics. She is a member of a number of national and international organizations including Palestinian Pediatric Society (PSP), Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA), European Respiratory Society (ERS), American Thoracic Society (ATS) and American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP).
Dr Rumman’s research interests include pediatric airway diseases, cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia. She is currently studying and characterizing these diseases in Palestine. She is also developing interventional pediatric pulmonary program in Palestine. She has a number of publications and presentations at national and international meetings.
