Consultant Pediatric Radiologist, Senior Attending Physician (Sidra)

Belonging to the first generation of Pediatric Radiologists to come from Yugoslavia embarking in a pioneering role in pediatric imaging. When the civil war started in 1992, left the native country to take the role of Chief Pediatric Radiologist in Latifa Children hospital (formerly Al Wasl) in Dubai. Shortly after is appointed as an Assistant Professor in the newly opened Medical Faculty of UAE in Al Ain.

In 1996 became Fellow of Royal College of Radiologists and was appointed Clinical Lead in Pediatric Radiology in the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. In the 14 years of work there, she organized and delivered the radiology service for children in one of the largest NHS Trusts in UK.
In 2011 returned to UAE to resume the post of pediatric radiologist in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi. In 2014 became part of the international team of doctors in Sidra Medical and Research Center, Qatar.

Special Interest in Pediatric Pulmonology Radiology
The love for pediatric chest imaging developed during the first of her appointments in 1986 as a pediatric radiologist in the children’s hospital with largest tertiary pulmonology center in Yugoslavia. This very intensive clinical and academic experience culminated with PhD thesis under the title: “Evaluation of the esophagus in children with respiratory diseases “.
The interest in pediatric chest imaging continued in the Medical Faculty of UAE in Al Ain by becoming a member of the team known among other interests for their pioneering research in Cystic Fibrosis in the region. Research in imaging of genetic syndromes followed. The clinical-radiological team work continued in UK with the team of academic pulmonologists in Keele University known especially for research in CF, Asthma, Apnea and Sudden Infant Death.
