
Dr. Ahmed Al Hammadi
Dr. Al Hammadi is the Acting Chief Medical Officer at Sidra Medicine. He is responsible for the leadership of the hospital's medical staff, upholding its clinical excellence and patient safety programs and ensuring that patients receive safe and effective medical care.
Dr. Al Hammadi earned his MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree at Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1998. He completed two pediatric residencies, one at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar in 2003 and another in 2008 at British Colombia Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.
In 2010, Dr. Al Hammadi was awarded a fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics from the renowned Sick Kids Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada, and is a board-certified fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is also the program director of Sidra Medicine's pediatric fellowship and residency programs and assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q).
