Osama Abdelsamad, RPh, MSc, CPSO - Osama Abdelsamad is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Al Wakra Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar. He is working as the lead for the anticoagulation service. He received his Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Assiut University, Egypt.
He got a Master's degree in clinical pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, Ireland, UK. Throughout his career, Dr. Abdelsamad has been innovative in different clinical pharmacy specialties, i.e., Cardiology, intensive care, nephrology, surgery, and anticoagulation service, at different Tertiary hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar.
He Has a long-standing research interest in anticoagulation and thrombosis. He implemented the first pharmacist-managed anticoagulation clinic in Qatar, and he is currently the coordinator for the anticoagulation committee and anticoagulation stewardship program at Al Wakra Hospital. Dr. Abdelsamad has helped develop various local evidence guidelines.
