Dr. Sara completed her PharmD and training at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of Colorado and is a Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist. Dr. Sara served as a clinical pharmacist for the last nine years in multiple specialties including: critical care (medical& surgical), internal medicine, post surgical care, Cardiology Care Unit and emergency medicine. In addition, she received training in Medication Therapy Management and travel clinics in the USA. Currently, she is assigned as a clinical pharmacist in surgical care and emergency medicine at Al Wakra Hospital.
Dr. Sara is coordinator for the corporate Continuous Pharmacy Professional Development office (CPPD) at Hamad Medical Corporation which is QCHP and ACPE accredited. Her passion for professional development is evident by being part of the team awarded stars of excellence for pharmacy CPD model. Dr. Sara is a preceptor for PharmD students at Qatar University. She is also a preceptor for the longitudinal education and teaching rotation at the PGY1 pharmacy residency program and is a mentor for the Indiana Pharmacy Teaching Certificate (IPTeC) at Purdue University.
Dr. Sara published several research articles in peer reviewed international journals. Her research interest includes: antimicrobial stewardship, procedural sedation, pharmacokinetics, sepsis, anticoagulation, preceptor development and pharmacy professional development.
