    Doha: 15 February 2022 - The Acute Care Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation organized the Annual Report meeting to discuss the emergency surgical activities report at HMC hospitals. The meeting was held on 2nd of February 2022 at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention hotel and was chaired by Dr. Abdulla Al-Ansari, Chief Medical Officer at HMC and witnessed a participation of 40 medical directors, department heads and acute care surgery clinical leads represented by Dr. Sabah Alkadhi, Al-Wakrah Hospital Medical Director,  Dr. Mohammad Al Akkad, Acting Chief of Surgery Department at HMC and Dr. Ahmad Zarour, Head of Corporate Acute Care Surgery. The meeting was also broadcasted live through video conferencing for all acute care surgery team, nursing leaders and clinical pharmacists.

    Acute Care Surgery Annual Report meeting is an annual event that highlights the service program performance, achievements, and challenges over the past year 2021. The annual report meeting program includes program vision, mission statement and details of service profile and operations across the corporate. A successful experience of the service corporate expansion will also be presented by ACS deputy Head Dr. Hijran Mahdi and ACS facilities Assistant Heads Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Dr. Nizar Bouchiba, and Dr. Orlando Perez. 

    During the meeting, a brief update on clinical and non-clinical quality domains was delivered by a total of 16 goals-driven key clinical leads represented through clinical affairs, patient experience, education and fellowship training program, quality & performance and morbidity & mortality (M&M), national surgical quality improvement program certifications, data management and registry, staff affairs, academic affair, corporate network, perioperative care, out-patient and ambulatory care, scientific research, patient flow,  clinical practice guidelines and clinical pathway, audits and protocols.
