    Doha, 23 April 2022: The Medical Reports Online Service at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is witnessing growing demand from the public. Patients who wish to request a medical report for themselves, or on behalf of another person, can submit applications through the HMC website. Applicants can also pay the fees online without having to be present at the hospital or point of care.

    Mr. Ali Abdulla Al Khater, HMC’s Chief Communications Officer, stated that the service, which is currently operational for all healthcare facilities run across the Corporation, is proving very successful as it provides patients and the public easy access to services provided by HMC. 

    “An application for a medical report can be easily submitted online and a hard copy of the medical report will be delivered to the applicant at their doorstep through Qatar Post. In some cases, a hard copy of the medical report can be delivered to the applicant at the Nasmaak customer service desk at the relevant hospital. People who find it difficult to apply for medical reports online may contact the Nesmaak customer service team at 16060 to get support over the phone,” Mr. Al Khater added.

    Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani, Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital, stated that the Medical Reports Online Service was initiated based on the request of the public for easy access to patient medical reports and that the service is seeing a growing demand. “This service is very convenient and simple to use by patients and their family members and is aligned with the infection control protocols observed at HMC in terms of minimizing visits to hospitals specifically for obtaining medical reports,” Dr. Al Maslamani said.

    Medical reports may be applied for submit applications through HMC website www.hamad.qa, in either Arabic or English language where the applicant selects “Medical Report Page” and enters the required information. Fees payment can also be made through a safe portal linked to Qatar National Bank. Once the report application is processed, the applicant will have the option of having a hard copy of the medical report delivered at their doorstep for a minimal fee paid to Qatar Post, or alternatively, request the report delivered by email.

    As a prerequisite to the issuance of a medical report, no more than six months shall have passed since the patient had their last follow-up appointment or consultation at the hospital. The report may be applied for by the applicant himself, a family member, or any other person authorized by the applicant to act on his behalf. The online service includes a feature to track the status of applications submitted.
