The Patient Family Education Unit offers a multitude of programming and practical information on health related topics of interest to patients/ families (within inpatient and outpatient areas) and the general public.
The unit strives to provide current and useful information to our patients and the community at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) facilities. Facilities include the Women’s Hospital, Hamad General Hospital, Al Khor hospital and Rumailah Hospital where educational programs, lectures/ symposia, workshops and publications are promoted. The Unit is also a resource for staff and patients in the establishment and development of patient/ family and community activities.
We are located behind the HMC library in Hamad General Hospital, where it is estimated we receive more than 500 calls per month relating to patient education.
