The Communicable Disease Center aims to promote awareness and education with the goal of preventing and combatting various infectious diseases at the national level. Health promotion initiatives help people to learn preventive health strategies, avoid or change behaviors that increase the risk of disease, prevent infection, to eat healthy food and make physical activity a habit. Our health promotion programs are part of CDC effort to help people work proactively to improve health. We have a mission to promote and sustain health for our Patients, our Staff and public. To achieve our mission we have taken certain steps – Community Engagement Programs and campaigns, Patient and Family Education, Nutritional Awareness program, Training of Health Care Professionals, Sports activity and Stress Management Program. Also, CDC has been in the forefront to raise awareness on Tuberculosis, HIV & AIDS, Influenza by organizing campaigns in Community which provides opportunity to public to interact with experts in the field.
