Dr. Gustav Frans Strandvik is South-African born and a United Kingdom-trained Medical Doctor. He graduated MBChB from the University of Cape Town in 1997. After first gaining his membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK, he trained in Anesthesiology at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He completed advanced training in Critical Care at the Evelina Children’s Hospital (Pediatric Intensive Care), University College London, and the Royal Brompton Hospitals. Dr. Gustav has also worked as a consultant for six years in southeast England, with a focus on critical care, pediatrics, vascular access, and medical education. He relocated to Doha in 2016 with his family, and is employed as a Senior Consultant in Trauma Intensive Care where he performs regular sessions in the operating theatre. His special interests include all things quality, communication, and training.
