Dr. Humaira Khan

Dr. Humaira Khan is a senior consultant radiologist in the Department of Breast Imaging HMC. Before this, she worked as the Clinical Director of Breast Imaging at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, the largest breast screening service in Birmingham and the 13th largest in the UK.

She has worked as a Consultant Radiologist, particularly in female Imaging, for last 15 years but has always maintained an active interest in teaching and training.

Dr.  Khan holds a PGCME from the University of Dundee. She was a Senior academy teacher in the University of Birmingham, OSCE examiner, and member of the simulation team and interview panel member for the selection of MBBCh students in the University of Birmingham.

She is the examiner for West Midlands FRCR Teaching Course. She has been actively involved in Breast and Gynae cancer trials like the Rockets trial and as principal investigator for the PROSPECTS trial. She is also a reviewer for the Clinical Radiology journal.
