Dr. Hatem Azim
Dr. Hatem Azim, MD, Ph.D., is a medical oncologist, an Adjunct professor at the School of Medicine of the Monterrey Institute of Technology, and Senior Oncology faculty at the College of the European School of Oncology. In addition, he also acts as the Chief Medical Officer of Emergence Therapeutics, based in France.
Dr. Azim completed his oncology training at the National Cancer Institute in Cairo and the European Institute of Oncology in Milan before joining the Jules Bordet Institute in Brussels where Dr. Azim worked for seven years. He holds a master's degree from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the "Université Libre de Bruxelles".
His clinical expertise is in the field of breast cancer in young women. He published more than 140 manuscripts and ten books/book chapters. He served as an invited speaker in more than 20 countries, including the annual ASCO and ESMO conferences, and was a member on several international guidelines committees including ESMO.
