Mahmood AL-Dhaheri is an Associate Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Hamad General Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Aden University in 2010 and completed a residency program in General Surgery at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Doha, Qatar, where he obtained his Arab Board in General Surgery certification in 2018. Mahmood's dedication to the field of colorectal surgery led him to pursue a Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at HMC, which he completed in 2022. During his fellowship, he established and led the educational and research program in the colorectal surgery unit, where he gained valuable surgical experience and contributed to the advancement of colorectal surgery. Mahmood is also a recipient of several honors and awards, including the Best Research Proposal at the Qatar Research Symposium's 7th Research and Innovation Ideas Symposium in 2018. Following his fellowship, he successfully passed the exit exam and earned the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in England and followed by the Fellowship of the European Society of Coloproctology. Furthermore, Mahmood shares his knowledge and expertise as a lecturer at Qatar Medical University, and he has presented his research and work at various national and international conferences.
