Dr. Emad Naem, Sr. Consultant, Endocrinology-Medicine Department

Dr. Emad Naem is American Board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.  He graduated from Damascus University Medical School in 1995. He completed his internal medicine residency program at St. Joseph Hospital- Northwestern University in Chicago IL in 2005. 

Upon completing his endocrinology fellowship at University of Florida (UF) in 2011, Dr. Naem joined the UF endocrinology division as a faculty/ assistant professor. He participated in clinical and basic science research studies and published several papers in peer review journals.

In June 2015, Dr. Naem joined Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) as a Senior Endocrinology Consultant.  He is an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medical College - Qatar.  Currently, he is the associate program director of the HMC endocrinology fellowship and the lead of the endocrine thyroid FNA and procedures clinic. Dr. Naem has special interest in neck ultrasound, thyroid fine needle aspiration, and managing thyroid disorders including thyroid nodules and cancer.
