Dr. Marta Vazquez-Ortiz (UK)
Dr. Marta MD MSc Ph.D. is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer and has been the Director of the Allergy Postgraduate Programme at Imperial College since 2015. She also works as a substantive Consultant in Paediatric Allergy at Imperial NHS since 2017. 

Marta did her training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Allergy and her Ph.D. in Spain. She moved to the UK in 2014 with an EU-funded Marie Curie Postdoctoral Individual Fellowship. 

So far, her research has focused on food allergy, specifically food immunotherapy, quality of life, and improved allergy diagnostics. Her Ph.D. contributed to a better understanding of the safety of food immunotherapy. She leads an international collaboration investigating diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for acute FPIES using a 'whole-omics' approach. 

Marta is a member of the Paediatric Section Board of EAACI, she co-leads task forces to improve transition care for allergic adolescents and clinical outcomes in food allergy.
