Hasan Rizvi

Dr. Hasan Rizvi is currently working as senior consultant in Anatomical Pathology division at the Department of Lab Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) at Hamad Medical Corporation. He also serves as the program director of the anatomical pathology residency program and chair of the education committee within DLMP. 

He also serves as an examiner for the Qatari Board of Medical Sciences and contributes to the Arab Board examination and is a senior examiner for the FRCPath in Histopathology and an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, UK. 

He has trained in the US and UK and has a keen interest in both education​ and digital pathology and the intersection between these areas with a focus on AI based training. 

He has worked as clinical director of digital education at the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) and as innovation lead for the school of pathology London where he implemented a regional and later a national digital pathology based e-learning platform. He edited and wrote the second edition of the national undergraduate curriculum for Pathology for the RCPath  and was national UG lead for pathology education 2017-2020. He also worked as UG Lead for Pathology for Barts and the London Medical School from 2017-2022. He is the author of peer reviewed articles and book chapters and serves as reviewer for journals.
