Dr Dukhan graduated from Tripoli University, Tripoli – Libya in 1995 and after completing his general medical training he moved to the UK in 2001. He obtained his MRCP – UK degree in 2004 following which he started his specialist training in Diabetes & Endocrinology for 5 years.

He was granted the certificate of completion of specialist training (CCT) in diabetes & endocrinology and general medicine in 2010. In 2013 he received FRCP Fellowship degree from the Royal College of Physicians – Edinburgh – UK.

He worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist in South Shields – UK between 2010 and 2015 before he joined the endocrine team at Al Wakra National Diabetes and Endocrine Centre - Hamad Medical Corporation - Qatar as a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist.
He is keen on education and research and he lead on different services development in South Shields including diabetic foot and the inpatient diabetes services. He was also the chair of the local Diabetes Clinical Network which coordinated diabetes services integration across primary and secondary care boundaries.
In 2016 he became the lead of service in Al Wakra National Diabetes and Endocrine Centre and with the support of the team he is working on improving and developing patient care and service delivery.
