
Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim
Associate Professor and Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University
Dr. Hanan is an Associate Professor and Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University with over 20 years experience in academia and academic administration. Dr. Abdul Rahim is the Founding Coordinator of the B.Sc. in Public Health at Qatar University and a founding member of Qatar’s first Master of Public Health (MPH) program. Dr. Abdul Rahim has consulted for several international health and development agencies, including UNFPA and EMRO/WHO. Her research interests are at the intersection of social science and public health, with a special interest in the social determinants of noncommunicable diseases and the health and wellbeing of women. Dr. Abdul Rahim has extensive experience in surveys and is an author of a range of research and policy-oriented articles and reports in leading academic journals, including the Lancet.
