Dr. Saju Divakar

Dr. Saju Divakar is a Radiation oncologist working as senior consultant at the National center for cancer care and research (HMC) in Qatar.

His areas of interests include Radiosurgery, Brachytherapy, Total body irradiation and Focused ultrasound treatment. His recent interest includes artificial intelligence based daily adaptive radiotherapy.

Dr. Saju is a core member of several multidisciplinary tumor boards. In addition, Dr. Saju is also a member of the Qatar National Cancer Guideline Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Public Health and a co-author of several nation cancer guidelines.

Dr. Saju has several publications in his name and is a reviewer of medical journals. He is also actively involved in research activities at HMC as a principal investigator and as co-investigator.

Before joining Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar in 2009, Dr Saju worked as a Clinical Assistant professor in Radiation Oncology at AIMS Kochi from 2005 to 2009.

Dr. Saju received all his medical education in India. He received his MBBS undergraduate medicine degree from Kerala University in 1997. After that, he worked as a primary health care practitioner in rural regions of India for a few years. Then he did his postgraduate training in Radiotherapy specialty from 2001 to 2004 at the Regional Cancer Center, Kerala, India, and on completion awarded DNB degree in Radiotherapy in 2005 by the National board, New Delhi.

His other area of interest includes writing fiction and poetry, photography, and digital painting.
