Fabian Marechal, MS
Chief Operating Officer
Fabian joined the Department of Radiation Oncology as its Chief Operating Officer in 2020. He oversees all administrative functions for the department and serves as a critical strategic planning and business partner for Dr. Metz and the department.
In a broad career that has spanned 23 years within healthcare and hospitality, notably 10 years with Penn Medicine, Fabian brings to the Department of Radiation Oncology a wealth of operational expertise and strategic inventiveness culled principally from his current role as Director, Division Administration for the Division of Hematology Oncology, and prior as Senior Director of Operations for the Department of Orthopaedics.
He has a strong, proven track record, meeting financial and operational objectives combined with a sound understanding of practice management, ambulatory operations and collaborative, innovative programs. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Economics and Political Sciences at the Sorbonne University in Paris.
