Dr. Pierre Thomas
 
Pierre Thomas is a french neurologist and epileptologist born in 1959. Medical studies at the Nice University. Has trained in EEG and epileptology first at the Centre Saint-Paul in Marseilles with Joseph Roger and team (1993), then at the Montreal Neurological Institute with Fred Andermann and team (1997). Henri Gastaut prize (1991) of the French League Agains Epilepsy (FLAE). General Secretary of the FLAE from 1997 till 2005. Neuroscience PhD at the Lyon University’s Hospital in 2004 (Director : François Mauguière). Founder and head of the video-EEG unit, adult neurological department, Nice University Hospitals, 2001. His actual position is full professor of Neurology and head of the Neurological department, Nice University Hospitals, France, since september 2006. He is especially interested and has published in adult epilptology, status epilepticus, paroxysmal events in neurology, and video-EEG.
