Georgios Filippou

Georgios Filippou is a rheumatologist at the Rheumatology Clinic of the University of Ferrara in Italy. Dr. Filippou earned his PhD degree at the University of Siena, Italy with the thesis “Innovative applications of musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Rheumatology.” His main area of research is on the clinical applications of Ultrasound in Rheumatology and he has organised several national and international courses and congresses on MSUS in Rheumatology. He is member of the EULAR faculty of US courses since 2013 and a member of the OMERACT group for Musculoskeletal Ultrasound since October 2014. Dr. Filippou has published over 60 articles, including 100 abstracts and several book chapters concerning musculoskeletal ultrasound.
