Dr. Abdulla Al Ansari, MBBCh, FRCSI, FRCSE
Dr. Abdulla Al Ansari is the Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Surgery in Hamad Medical Corporation. Dr. Al Ansari is a medical graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed his Post graduate training in various subspecialties in Surgery from the United Kingdom and Qatar. He is specialized in urology. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (FRCSEd) & Ireland (FRCSI). Dr. Al-Ansari is the pioneer of Robotic Surgery in Qatar, it was through his dedication and perseverance that Robotic Surgery is now a common procedure in the State of Qatar. He has served as the Director of the Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre (QRSC) at the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). Dr. Al-Ansari won the first prize in 3D printing of organs from Texas AM University. Dr. Al Ansari is one of a few leaders in Hamad Medical Corporation who have the New and Emerging Academic leadership course (NEAL) in Toronto. Dr. Al Ansari believes in high quality patient care. Despite his demanding leadership role and clinical practice, he still takes out time for his patients, research, publications, simulation, workshops, and conferences.
