Dr. Alan Barnard, RN BA MA PhD

Dr. Alan Barnard is a faculty member with the School of Nursing, Queensland University of Technology (Australia), Program Leader for Learning and Teaching Research and a member of the QUT Institute for Health and Biomedical Innovation. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow at a major teaching hospital in Brisbane, Australia.
Dr. Barnard has qualifications in nursing, psychology, education and philosophy and has forty years’ nursing, research, teaching and leadership experience. His research and scholarship interests relate to technology and person focused care and interpretive qualitative research. Dr. Barnard has been the recipient of major research funding and has in excess of seventy publications in international peer reviewed journals and books.
