2nd GCC Nursing Conference 2017: The Evolution of Technology and its Impact on Humane Nursing Care

Deadline for submission (s) is 12 pm ( Arabia Standard Time) on 20 January, 2017 (notification of acceptance will be issued by end of January). Selection of the best posters and awarding of prizes (3 in total) will be on 26 February, 2017.
Share your knowledge and experience and contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession by submitting your original investigative research through a poster submission at the 2nd GCC Nursing Conference. Conference attendees will:
- Examine strategies that promote the humane side of nursing care when utilizing technology.
- Explore technologies with the potential to enhance engagement with patients, their families, and the public.
- Critically analyze the benefits and threats to the humane side of nursing care exerted by the use of technology.
All submissions will be blind peer-reviewed and ranked according to their originality, completeness, relevance and scientific rigor. Posters should focus on the conference themes, as outlined below:
- Innovation: Innovative technological developments for nurses (such as 3-D printing, wearable medical technology, robotics, genomics and genetics, tools for diagnostics and treatment, biometrics).
- Software Support: Electronic health records and computerized physician orders, point of care documentation, etc.
- Training: Nursing simulation labs and other technologies to assist in nurse education.
- The Humane Side of Nursing: Balancing the humane element with technology.
- Economics: Controlling costs and cost savings.
- Ethics: Ethical concerns with technology nursing.

Submission Guidelines:
- Posters should be printed on A0 paper (841mm x 1189mm), in portrait orientation. Posters that do not meet the formatting requirements may be excluded from presenting.
- Posters should be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
- All posters must be submitted in English, the official language of the conference.
- There is no fee for submitting a poster and no limit to the number of posters an author can submit.
- The final date for submission is 20 January, 2017.
- All authors must consent to the submission of the poster.
