Haya Almerekhi is a consultant radiologist in Clinical Imaging Department at HMC.
She had graduated from Arabian Gulf University, school of medicine in 2002 and joined HMC in the same year.
She obtained the Arab Board Certificate in diagnostic and interventional imaging in 2010 then joined the women imaging section where she worked for 4 years. She completed her subspecialty training in Paris at the Hospital George Pompidou and Institute Gustave Roussy, between September 2014 and May 2016.
She joined HMC in July 2016 as a first Qatari Radiologist who is specialized in interventional and diagnostic breast imaging performing a wide range of procedures for diagnosing and preoperative localization of breast cancer.
Dr. Almerekhi is a core member in breast cancer tumor board working closely in collaboration with the surgeons, pathologists and oncologists.
