Effective August 1, we will resume receiving applications for clinical attachments, observerships, and medical elective rotations (for medical students).   All applications will be through our new online system.   We will update our website with guidance on the new system closer to the resumption date.    

HMC offers medical students coming from local and overseas medical colleges the opportunity to participate in a short-term observership or clinical attachment within several clinical departments at HMC. The Medical Education Department is not however responsible for issuing a visit visa to students applying from overseas and does not offer any financial support to the candidates accepted to take part in a clinical attachment at HMC. Candidates are also expected to cover their own living expenses and accommodation in Doha. 

Priority is given to medical students with a valid residence permit for Qatar. 

Physicians who are applying for a medical license to work in the private sector are not eligible to take part in a clinical attachment at HMC. 

New applications for attachments, observerships, and medical elective rotations are temporarily on hold, while we transition to a new online application system.
