Patients frequently transfer from acute care hospitals once their condition is stable to commence their  intensive inpatient rehabilitation care at QRI. Other patients are referred to the outpatient clinics (Day Rehab & Outpatient Services) by their care providers.

The patient preadmission assessment determines the program and setting that will best meet their needs and if patients are admitted to the Inpatient, Day Rehab, Outpatient or Community Rehabilitation Program.

We start planning our patient’s recovery right from the start of their journey with us and ensure that they receive the best possible rehabilitative care which is tailored to their individual needs. Patient care is communicated and coordinated between the interdisciplinary team and other care providers throughout our patients’ journey to recovery.

We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation care to ensure the best outcomes. Our patients have access to a remarkable range of highly specialized and respected medical experts including neurologists, physiatrists, internists, rheumatologists, pulmonologists, and neurophysiologists, as well as specially trained nurses, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists.

Also integral to our multidisciplinary care teams are specialized respiratory therapists, social workers, psychologists, pharmacists, and dietitians, among others. Recreational therapy, spiritual services and participation by family members and caregivers directly round out our unique approach to care.

Our facility is accredited by the Joint Commission, in recognition of the high quality and state-of-the art treatment and standards provided.
