Our inpatient rehabilitation program aims to provide comprehensive, family-centered, rehabilitative services to meet the physical, developmental, social, psychological and educational needs of our patients and their families.

Our pediatric rehabilitation experts provide comprehensive therapy to help your child:

  • Dress, walk, talk and eat independently as much as they can
  • Return home as soon as possible with basic functional abilities to support this
  • Take part in school and community life when they are able to

Services Offered:
Typical daily services include physical, occupational and speech therapies, rehabilitation nursing, patient and family/caregiver education, nutrition services, therapeutic recreation and social services/discharge planning.

The amount of therapy provided, the number of disciplines involved as well as the amount of time per discipline, is individualized for each patient based on their needs and functional level. The rehab program is initiated on the day of admission and the therapy day can typically begin around 8:00 a.m. and ends about 5:00 p.m.

The total time in therapy may vary on different days reflective of each patient’s tolerance and needs, but overall patients will receive at least three hours of therapy 5-6 days/ week.
