The National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) launched in 2011, is the premier cancer hospital for the State of Qatar. It is part of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and looks after cancer patients who require ongoing treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
The Physiotherapy department works closely with several multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), such as Breast MDT, Head and Neck MDT. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals it forms an essential part in providing patients with professional rehabilitation services. It ensures they receive the best possible care and assistance that enable them to regain basic motor functions, avoid any permanent loss of function and improve their quality of life.
Patients requiring cancer rehabilitation, palliative care and Physiotherapy for lymphedema can avail the strategies to overcome limitations and regain function.
