Al Wakra Hospital opened in 2012, is the second largest and busiest hospital for the growing community in the country’s south in mind. The Hospital provides comprehensive, high quality healthcare to people of all age groups. It runs the National Burns service providing tertiary care to adult and pediatric patients across Qatar.
The Physiotherapy Department opened in 2001, served Outpatients and after moving to Al Wakra hospital in 2012, started serving inpatients along with outpatients, offering timely, individualized and clinically effective specialized optimal care.
The Department comprises of highly experienced Physiotherapists in Orthopedic, neurology, cardiorespiratory, burn rehabilitation amongst other specialties, providing best care for the patients by implementing evidence-based practice.
The team treats patients having neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions and associated problems in Geriatric as well as Pediatric population.
While the above-mentioned cases are treated as outpatients, the inpatient services of Physiotherapy Department cater to patients admitted in intensive care, high dependency, Burn, Medical, Surgical, Gynecology units and Emergency department.
