Dr. Sodzi Tettey
MBChB, MPH, FISQua, Vice President, IHI
Dr. Sodzi is a Vice President for Global Delivery of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership for Africa, and the Middle East regions. He is a public health physician, a trained Quality Improvement Advisor, and a Fellow of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare. Dr. Sodzi has conducted high-level training and short-term consultancies in Quality Improvement methodologies in different countries, working with a diverse group of organizations including the WHO. He has recently overseen a project in Nigeria where the curricula for training nurses has been reviewed, incorporating quality improvement and safety methodologies. As a former Vice President of the Ghana Medical Association, he received GMA’s Special Commendation award for meritorious services to the medical profession. He is currently a member of the Governing Board of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare based in Ireland, having been elected in 2020 as the first African to serve on ISQua’s Board.
