Ms. Shirley Johnson
Ms. Shirley Johnson is a highly accomplished nurse and midwife with an impressive career of over three decades. Shirley completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and obtained an MBA in Education Management from India and a PG cert in Higher Education from the UK. She began her career as a Graduate Registered Nurse in the high-dependency unit at Women's Hospital 1991. Over the years, she worked her way up through various roles, including Charge Nurse and Head Nurse, before transitioning to Nurse Educator. In this capacity, she served as a part-time Clinical Instructor for BSc Nursing students at Qatar University.
Shirley's passion for Education led her to her current position as the Director of Nursing and midwifery Education at the Women's Wellness and Research Center in Doha, Qatar. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator from the American Association of Diabetes Educators and the International Diabetes Federation and has a Diploma in Wound Care from the University of Jordan.
She also serves as an ANCC and DHP Nurse Planner and an active Nursing & Midwifery Education Department (NMED) member.
Her expertise and commitment to Education have made her an asset to the nursing community in Qatar and beyond.
