Dr. Shireen Suliman
Shireen Suliman, MBBS, MRCP (Acute Medicine), MEHP, is a Senior Consultant in Internal Medicine and the Associate Director of Medical Education (Graduate Medical Education) at the Medical Education Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar. She holds a Master's degree in Education in Health Professions (MEHP) from Johns Hopkins, US. Dr. Suliman is a Clinical Associate Professor at the College of Medicine at Qatar University and an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. She is a faculty at the Hamad Health Quality Institute at HMC and the MSc in Health Professions Education at Qatar University. She is currently involved in overseeing the Residency, Fellowship, and Internship programs, and the development and execution of Faculty and Trainee development initiatives at Hamad Medical Corporation and serves as the Director of the Mentorship Training Program at HMC. Her main research interest is in the field of Medical Education on learners’ empowerment and well-being through mentorship, co-creation, and partnership with learners as part of her Ph.D. thesis in Health Professions Education at Maastricht University in The Netherlands. Dr. Suliman is a member of the SIG ‘Co-creation and Educational Change’ at the Maastricht University, The Netherlands, and the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE).
