Salma is a medication safety officer and a senior pharmacist in the Heart Hospital at Hamad Medical Corporation (Doha-Qatar). Her academic journey began at the prestigious school of pharmacy University of London, where she earned her Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) in 2006. She specialized in medication use review, drug use and misuse, medication reconciliation, smoking cessation, and many other services provided by the primary health care system in the U.K. Salma moved to Qatar to commence her hospital pharmacy experience in 2012. She pursued post-graduate studies, with a master’s degree (MSc) in clinical pharmacy practice from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen in 2015. Salma served three years as a mediation safety officer. She coordinated the establishment of the pharmacy value improvement program in 2021 and runs pharmacy’s huddles monthly. Her overarching aspiration is to leverage her pharmacy expertise to elevate patient outcomes and healthcare services.
