Dr. Rekaya is currently working as AMR specialist managing the operations of the AMR National Action Plan and Program. She has been in this role since Nov. 2023, however her years of experience in the field of microbiology spans over her roles as an assistant professor for microbiology at the National Bone Marrow Transplant Center in Tunis where she was teaching medical microbiology, antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship education. She also worked as the Lab Quality Manager at the National Bone Marrow Transplant Center in Tunis. Dr. Rekaya is a medical doctor graduated from Faculty of Medicine in Tunis, Tunisia. She also has post graduate studies and MD in medical biology majoring in Microbiology from Faculty of Medicine, Al Manar University.
