Dr. Muhammad Shakeel Riaz

Dr Riaz is consultant in Anaesthesia & Critical Care (SICU) at Hamad Medical Corporation. He has been associate section head and lead for transformation of SICU for two years. He is Chair of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Committees of SICU & Director of Hamad Anaesthesia Simulation based Education Network (HASEN). He previously has worked as Consultant in Anaesthesia & Critical Care in the United Kingdom after completion of his CCT. Dr Riaz holds UK Fellowships in Anaesthesia (FRCA) and Intensive Care (FFICM). He also held the positions of RCoA College Tutor and FICM Faculty Tutor. He is also a Founding Member of Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (UK). He was Regional QI Lead for North of England for FMLM for three years. He also holds a certificate of Quality Improvement Practitioner from NHS Institute of Innovation for Improvement. He has also done training in Medical Leadership with NHS Leadership Academy, UK and completed its one-year Mary Seacole Programme. He also holds a PG Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from UK. Dr Riaz has also completed Improvement Coach Development Program from IHI (USA) and The Entrepreneurial Edge Program from London Business School (UK). ​
