Mr. Aftab has been in Communicable Disease Center – Department of Nursing for more than 34 years. He worked in almost every aspect of healthcare, and his true passion is infectious disease and community care. He was hired at Hamad Medical Corporation in Communicable Disease Center as staff Nurse in Qatar.
During working at the hospital, he discovered his love for infectious diseases by providing patient’s care services.
He started to expand his Nursing activities and serves as a key member of Person-centred care. He considers people’s desires, values, family situations, social circumstances, and lifestyles; seeing the person as an individual and working together to develop appropriate solutions. Being compassionate, thinking about things from the person’s point of view and being respectful are all important. He is very flexible to meet the client’s needs in a manner that is best for them. This involves working with client’s and their families to find the best way to provide their care as the clients are our extended family.
Mr. Aftab firmly believes in this philosophy ‘it is about doing things with people, rather than ‘to’ them’.
