Mercia Rekha Dsouza
Mercia Rekha Dsouza has an impressive educational background, with a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in nursing specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India. Currently, she is furthering her academic pursuits by pursuing a Doctoral degree in Nursing.
With over Fifteen years of teaching experience, Ms. Mercia is a certified nurse educator dedicated to enhancing person-centered care through educational initiatives. Her clinical expertise lies in maternal-child health and addressing access to care issues and systems.
Currently serving as a Nurse Educator at the Women's Wellness Research Center within the Hamad Medical Corporation, Ms. Mercia focuses on updating nurses and other health professionals to deliver quality nursing care. Her research interests encompass evidence-based practice, nursing education, and advocating for vulnerable populations, particularly in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs aimed at improving care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
