Dr Linzette Morris is the Head of Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and an assistant professor in Physiotherapy at the College of Health Sciences, QU Health, Qatar University. Prior to joining Qatar University, Dr. Morris was a faculty member at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Dr. Morris has been involved in a variety of research projects over the years in the following areas: musculoskeletal disorders, rehabilitation, pain sciences, virtual reality, HIV/Aids, health systems, cerebrovascular disease/stroke, biomechanics, psychiatry and physiotherapy, global health, refugee health, etc. and has collaborated with many international institutions in Africa, Europe, UK and USA as well as local institutions like Qatar Olympics and Sport Museum and Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Her most recent related work was cross-culturally adapting the pain catastrophizing scale among a refugee population in Kenya. She has a keen interest in understanding the complexities around conducting research in areas and populations affected by natural disasters, conflict and other humanitarian events.
