Catherine Jamias
Senior Quality Improvement Reviewer (A) / Project Analyst at Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI), Hamad Medical Corporation. Cathy is a faculty, trainer and speaker to various quality improvement programs such as Fundamentals of Quality Improvement Course, Intermediate Quality Improvement Course and LearnQI with HHQI. She is the program manager for the Clinical Care Improvement Training Program and leading the editorial team for the HHQI INSIGHTS newsletter and HHQI’s Joy at Work program.
Cathy assumed the leading role for the National Value Improvement Collaborative and National Patient Safety Collaborative for Sepsis and VTE in 2018-2020 and continuously supported other collaboratives. Her contribution to developing and enhancing patient and family education, underpinned by Enhanced Recovery after Surgery principles, was remarkable.
Ms. Jamias is one of the pioneer graduates of the Improvement Leadership Program in 2018-2019; initiated on cost reduction project for the Improvement Specialist Program from August 2023 to May 2024.
Prior joining HMC, she has a diverse background in the field of psychology, gaining experience in various settings: medical and laboratory clinic, Montessori school and specialized center focused on neurodevelopment in Neurodevelopmental Center of St. Luke's Medical Center, Quezon City, Philippines.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Manila.
