Brendon Morris
Brendon Morris has previously worked in multiple countries, including working with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. He currently resides with his family in Qatar, where he works as an Executive Director at Hamad Medical Corporation. In this role, he has provided leadership to the state’s National Ambulance Service (Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service), and the health sector’s Major Incident Preparedness and Resilience system, including the National Healthcare Incident Command Centre, a system he played a significant role in the design and roll out of over the last decade. As part of Qatar’s response to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Brendon provided leadership to the establishment and running of the countries isolation facilities. In addition, since his arrival in 2010, Qatar has hosted multiple major events and mass gatherings, all of which Brendon has provided leadership support to in regards healthcare provision and Major Incident Preparedness. These events include, the FIFA World Cup 2022, Formula 1 Grand Prix races, the United Nations Climate Change COP 18, World Aquatic and Athletic Championships and numerous other premier, world cup sport and motorsport events and conferences, involving multinational competitors and delegations. Brendon holds two Master’s Degrees, one in Emergency Medical Care and another in Research, with additional graduate and undergraduate qualifications in the field of Health Services and Emergency Management. Brendon is also a published, book and per-review articles author.
