Dr. Bindu Mary George
I am a practicing Neonatologist at Sidra Medicine, Qatar, since August 2018.
I graduated from Kottayam Medical College, Kerala, India in 1999, undertook pediatric specialty training in the United Kingdom, during 2004 to 2016, obtained MRCPCH in 2010 and Certificate Of Completion In Training (CCT) In Pediatrics from General Medical Council, UK in 2016 and FRCPCH in 2018. I hold a Post Graduate certificate in Allergy & Immunology, Imperial College, London and am a distant learning Msc Neonatology student at University of Southampton, UK. I completed the Family Infant Neurodevelopmental Education (FINE).
After serving as a Consultant Pediatrician & Neonatologist in the UK during 2016 to 2018, I joined the Neonatology division, Sidra Medicine, in 2018 as a Junior Attending (Hospital Neonatologist).
In addition to my clinical responsibilities and passion to serve the sickest children and babies and guiding parents through the most difficult of times, my areas of clinical interest include optimizing family centered neuro developmental care of premature babies and infants in NICU, promoting the principles of Newborn Individualized Developmental Care Approach (NIDCAP), initiating and leading quality improvement projects in family centered and developmental care practices, palliative care services and General movements assessments (GMA) and Bayley’s neurodevelopmental assessments.
