Dear Colleagues,

I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to attend the 2020 Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare held once again in Doha, Qatar. In a partnership that continues to strengthen, IHI is pleased to present this event alongside the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Throughout our years of partnership, HMC has worked tirelessly to improve quality, safety. and population health. It has been a joy to create this impactful event together with them; and so rewarding to see the personal and professional growth of our attendees from year to year.

For the past eight years, the Middle East Forum has provided a space for those experienced with, and those new to, quality improvement to come together and develop their skills and knowledge. This year we are placing a renewed focus on improving and highlighting the importance of access to quality care for all.

This focus can be seen throughout the five program tracks at the Forum: Improvement Science, Safety, Workforce Wellbeing and Development, Patient Engagement in Care, and Innovations in Patient Care: Value, Access, Flow. The courses within each track will provide a valuable platform for all attendees to explore their interests and exchange ideas. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Marty Makary, an acclaimed surgeon, professor, and public health expert, as our feature plenary speaker. Additional key speakers include IHI's Founder and President Emeritus, Don Berwick, IHI's President Emerita, Maureen Bisognano, East London Foundation Trust Chief Quality Officer, Amar Shah, and Kate Hilton, co-author of an influential IHI white paper on the psychology of change. These leaders and other international healthcare visionaries will leave you inspired and ready to take on the challenges of implementing a culture of quality improvement and safety in your organization.
