We’re looking for your Poster (Storyboard) submission to the Poster Exhibition featured at the ME Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare in Doha, Qatar, 13 – 15 May 2016
The event provides an excellent opportunity for you to network, share your experiences and learn from other attendees. To that end, we encourage you to describe your experiences in quality improvement and patient safety projects and programs and submit them to us for consideration for inclusion in our Poster & Storyboard Exhibition and Competition.
We welcome submissions that describe innovative educational experiences, data collection processes, quality and safety initiatives that you have established to improve the care or services you provide to your patients.
The poster judged to be the best in each of the 5 categories will receive a recognition award – with a sixth award going to the poster voted by public choice as the best in each category.
The categories are:
Leadership for Improvement: Understanding and demonstrating the importance of leadership in driving improvement which leads to positive changes in culture (attitude, behavior and/or ways of working) resulting in improved outcomes for patients and better staff experience at work. For example, leadership walk rounds.
Patient Engagement: Understanding what patients and families want and need from their encounters with the healthcare system and designing care systems using this knowledge.
Transforming Clinical Systems of Care: Streamlining our care processes and reducing delays for staff and colleagues to improve the timeliness of care improves both safety and efficiency of care.
Transforming Clinical Interventions: Looking at improvements made along a patient pathway which shows what is the best care and working to ensure we are reliably delivering that care. For example, early detection of sepsis and good management of the diabetic patient.
Science of Improvement: Using the model of improvement (or other proven methods such as lean) to rapidly test and spread new ways of work.
