Dr Abdul-Wahab Al-Allaf 

 
Dr. Al-Allaf is Senior Consultant Rheumatologist at Hamad General Hospital and an Honorary Senior Lecturer and Senior Academic Tutor at the University of Birmingham in the UK. He has a MSc in Rheumatology from the University of Manchester, UK and a Medical Doctorate (MD) in Rheumatology from the University of Dundee, UK.

He held academic posts for more than four years as a lecturer and honorary consultant in Rheumatology at the University of Dundee and Nine Wells Hospital and Medical School.  He has experience of more than 26 years in medicine and rheumatology as a senior consultant with managerial and academic roles. 

Dr. Al-Allaf received a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Rheumatology from the Joint Committee in Higher Medical Training of the Royal College of Physicians, London. 

He also has a higher degree in Teaching in Higher Education (CerTHE) from the University of Dundee. He was the Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program, a member of fellowship and residents’ program committees and a member of the "Standard Steering Committee" at the University of Dundee. 

He has good research experience and is the principal investigator of many research projects and a co-investigator for more research projects both nationally and internationally. 

Dr. Al-Allaf has published in many in peered reviewed journals and review articles and has written three book chapters in one of the most prestigious international textbook for rheumatology. He supervised many MSc theses and student research as well as audit projects.  He has delivered many presentations nationally and internationally.  He is also a reviewer of many national and international journals including the Lancet, Scandinavian Rheumatology, British Rheumatology and Ann Saudi Med Journal.
