​​Amr Metwally is a seasoned healthcare professional with over two decades of expertise in
strategic planning, business transformation, and healthcare planning and design. From the
center's conception to his appointment as Assistant Executive Director, Amr played a crucial role in
shaping ITQAN Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center's trajectory towards becoming a regional
and global leader in medical simulation and education, especially being one of the biggest
simulation centers globally, and the biggest across middle east region. His impressive track record
and unwavering commitment to achieving the highest accreditation standards have solidified
ITQAN's position as a center of excellence.
One of Amr's significant accomplishments was spearheading the development and launch of
surgical skills lab at ITQAN. The lab is widely acknowledged as one of the biggest and most
advanced surgical skills facilities worldwide and has been instrumental in the center's success.
His expertise in the Healthcare Industry has been recognized nationally and internationally,
making him a sought-after keynote speaker and avid healthcare researcher. He has presented at
numerous international conferences and symposiums. He also chaired and supported multiple
national boards, committees, and organizations focused on all aspects of healthcare.
Beyond his role at ITQAN, Amr's experience includes serving as a Program Portfolio Manager at
Hamad Medical Corporation, where he led and delivered multi-size projects worth over $2.4
billion. He supported the start-up of several clinical business units, including Home Care, Nursing
Homes, Dementia Unit, Medical Education, and Communicable Diseases Center. Amr holds an
Executive MBA from HEC Paris and currently sits on the EMBA candidates Selection Committee at
HEC Paris Executive. Amr Also supported several Health-Tech startups as part from his mentorship
role under Tasmu Accelerator, the initiative launched by Ministry of Communication and
Information technology.
He has been involved in multiple key research projects internationally. He has received multiple awards in healthcare and research. 
Dr. Metwally has visited 30+ Countries in the purpose of factory visits/evaluation; and he has contributed as advisor in several Hospital Charity projects under Qatar Government in Morocco and Comoros Island.
